Rural Electric Leaders-In-Training Exchange

RELITE is a leadership program for employees of Indiana's electric cooperatives. Over the course of a year, participants spend time together learning about the communities we serve, the issues and opportunities we share, and the industry that brings us all together.

It's about growing professionally and personally.

It's about team building and learning new perspectives.

It's about pursuing those experiences that bring out the leadership qualities in each of us so we can make a difference in our work and communities!

By exploring the critical aspects of leadership in today's work and community environments, we have the opportunity to become more committed and effective leaders. The future of our industry and our communities depends upon those who have the skills, capacities and spirit to lead us into the 21st century.

RELITE brings people together to learn about and experience consensus building, collaboration, visioning, team building and conflict resolution. These capacities can then be used at work, at home or in our communities. As representatives of local rural electric cooperatives, our graduates are positioning themselves as community leaders. As we face a competitive future, the tangible benefits that can be gained from RELITE will play a critical role in our success.
